Essential points in this thread :

1) IMGs, FMGs, and Doctors who want to join any PG Courses in the country must go through this exam.

2) 50% (50 out of 100) is required in all 6 Papers to pass the NExT - 1  (Not 50 Percentile which is there for NEET PG)

3) NEET PG will be continued for previous batches till NExT will replace it for admission in PG Courses (Will be decided by NMC)

4) NExT will be held in May or November or any month decided by NMC.

5) No restrictions for attempt in NExT 1 but one has to pass both steps of NExT within 10 years of "Joining" of MBBS Course.

6) Candidates can give NExT - 1 to improve their scores for admission in PG Courses only after passing of NExT - 2.

7) Main Important Point :

Candidate has to pass all 6 Papers with 50% Percentage Passing Criteria. If a candidate can't pass in any subject on 1st attempt then he has to give NExT - 1 after 6 months for that subject. Only after that will he be considered as a "PASS" in NExT - 1 and can start the Internship.

8) Score of NExT - 1 will be valid for 5 Years.

9) If a candidate is giving NExT - 1 to improve the score, then a score of NExT - 1 (which will be given last by the candidate) will be considered for admission in PG Courses.

10) To start the internship :

For IMGs :
Candidate has to pass all 6 Papers of NExT 1 and the practical exam held by the University.

For FMGs :
Candidate has to pass all 6 Papers of NExT 1.

11) All those who already have the license to practice medicine and want to do PG Courses in India, have to only appear for NExT - 1.
